Meet Seth Yeaton, owner of X9 Games.  X9 Games is a full service game store with a large selection of collectible card games, collectible miniature games, board games, dice, gaming supplies and much more.

 

Q: Where are you from?

A: I live locally, I’ve lived in the Western Mass area since I was a teen.

 

Q: How long has X9 Games been in business?

A: We’ve been here for 14 years. I like the fact that I can work for myself.

 

Q: What is unique about your business?

A:  When you’re trying to compete with today’s world of online shopping, I find it important to provide something more than what people can get through the computer. This is why we have gaming tables and tournaments here, something for people to enjoy their time together, a space to have fun, play games, and meet new people.  We can offer personalized recommendations. Someone might come in looking for a game to buy for their cousin and I’ll ask them,”Well, what’s something you like to do with your cousin?” I like meeting people and providing that type of service.

 

Q: What is your favorite game?

A: The one I recommend the most is Five Tribes. It’s between that and Small World.
